This section describes the high level features provided by shareware sites using the MySharewareSite.com technology. Some of these features are visible on the Demo site, while others (such as the Admin section) are only available as screenshots due to the Demo site actually being a live site on the MySharewareSite.com master database.


	Category / Sub-Category Structure The default category and sub-category structure supplied with every MySharewareSite.com package conforms to the PAD 3.01 specification for easy management of PAD file submissions and auto-categorisation of those PAD files. Note that it is highly recommended that you use the standard categories from the PAD 3.x specification if you use Auto Approval of PAD submissions.


	Software Detail Pages For every software listing in the database, visitors can see a detailed description page of the software, including links to screenshots, download information, and the authors web site.


	Admin Section An Admin Section is provided for you to use to control your shareware site. Options available in the Admin section include the ability to search the database of software listings and delete listings, manual approval of submissions and so on ...


	Advertising Slots Configurable advertising slots are built in to the site for you to sell your own advertising and make yourself money. Once your site contains all entries from our master database, there are over 62,741 pages on the site for you to sell advertising on, on a monthly (or longer) basis to anyone you like. There are multiple advertising slots on every page. Even if you only sell 1 advertising slot on 5% of these pages at any one time and even if you only charge $2 for any given slot, that's $6,274 per month in revenue coming in through your site. That's more than enough to pay for the lease of a MySharewareSite.com site and still have profit left over. Configuration and administration of the advertising slots is provided through the Admin section. Note that you will need to have your own method of processing payments from advertisers. PayPal is recommended.

Site Sponsors
An optional Site Sponsors list can be turned on to display a list of Site Sponsors in the contents pane of the site, along with a link to each sponsor's web site.

Site Sponsors can be offered a custom set of benefits which give them an incentive to be sponsors.

Ongoing Software Feed from MySharewareSite.com

On average we receive around 4,800 software submissions per week.

Your site will receive all verified PAD files out of these software submissions for your shareware site.

This allows you to keep your shareware site constantly growing and gives you a jump start while your presence grows and authors start submitting their software directly to you.


	Accept PAD Files Directly The site also allows authors to submit their PAD files directly to your site. You can choose whether authors must verify their PAD files before you will accept them for processing.


	Auto / Manual PAD Processing The site also allows authors to configure whether PAD files are automatically accepted and listed on site or whether they require your manual approval first.


	Members Section Allow your software authors to view member only information on your site, and allows authors to submit their PAD files directly to your site. You can choose whether authors must verify their PAD files before you will accept them for processing.


	Paid Text Links Start earning revenue straight away with paid text ads on your site. Each software detail page has a 'competetive' advertising slot which you can use for paid text ads.


	Administration Manual We provide a 58 page Administrators Manual to provide detail level information on the administration of your site.

Hosting Requirements

MySharewareSite.com shareware sites are written in PHP and use a MySQL database to store their data.

As we now host your site for free, there are no hosting requirements for you.

All web site source lives on our servers and you rent the MySharewareSite.com 'engine' which drives your site. You own the domain name of your shoice and it points to your web site on our servers.

Our hostings servers use Unix as the operating system to provide power, speed and stability.
