Your software site needs a domain name so that people can find you on the web. Your domain name identifies your site and should be catchy and easy to remember.

The MySharewareSite.com engine which makes your site work is rented to you on a monthly (or quarterly) basis. You need to sign up to become a member of MySharewareSite.com so that you can rent the engine for your site.

To sign up as a member, go to our Purchase page and choose whether you want to pay monthly or quarterly.

Log in to your Member account and pay for your first month's rental, or if you have chosen to pay quarterly then pay for the first quarter.

Once you have logged in to the Member control panel, click on the Account Transactions link to pay for the first period of rental.

All payments are processed by SWREG.org using secure payment technology.

We will then set up your site for you. This involves creating web hosting for you on our web servers, installing the MySharewareSite.com engine for your site, configuring your initial database, and setting up your Admin control panel.

We do all of this for you for free.

Once we have your site set up, we will send you an email to let you know

• That your site is ready to go
• The URL of your Admin control panel
• The names of the two Name Servers for your site

You need to 'connect' your domain name to the web hosting on our servers so that when visitors go to your domain, your web site is served up to those visitors from our web hosting.

In point (4) above, we sent you the two IP Addresses of the Name Servers set up on our hosting for your web site. You need to configure your domain name to use those Name Servers.

If you registered your domain name at GoDaddy then follow these instructions to connect your domain name to your new site.

• Log in to your account at GoDaddy
• Click on My Account in the menu bar at the top
• On the left side bar, click on Domain Manager
• Find the domain name for your site and click on its link
• Then, on the left side you should see Nameservers and a link that says Manage.
• Click Manage and choose the option "I have specific nameservers for my domains"
• Fill in the names of the nameservers we sent you
• Choose OK to save your settings

There are many sites around that accept articles. Write articles about your site and what makes it unique, include links to your site in the articles, and post your articles on as many sites as you can.

Comment on Blogs
Find blogs that are relevant to your site and popular in themselves. Post relevant comments and link back to your site.

Particpiate in Forums
Find forums that are relevant to your site and popular in themselves. Partcipate in the conversations that take place and share information about your site.

Process PAD Files
Continuous new content is a great thing on your site. If you have your site configured to process PAD files automatically then this will happen for you autmatically. If you choose to process all PAD files manually then make sure you set aside time to process them daily to ensure your site always has new content.

Rate Software
Review and rate the software that your authors submit to your site. Aske them for a link back to your site based on those ratings.
